The Von Duprin 88 Series are exit device crossbars with a classic design. A wide stile device, it is standard for applications where a crossbar is preferred. 88 rim devices are for all types of single and double doors with mullion. UL listed for accident hazard installations. Covers stock hollow metal doors with 86 or 161 cutouts. This device is field reversible.

Effective in areas where vandalism to door hardware is a problem.

The spring measures 1-5/8” long with a 7/16” diameter. We find two of these springs per 992 and 994 series lever trims. These springs help support the lever handle and return it to the proper position.

This is the component that is designed to break, if the lever handle is forced to open , this pin snaps so your trim is not destroyed. 3/16” diameter shaft by 5/8” overall length. Retaining Ring included. This shear pin is used on the 230L, 360L, 992L, 994L and 996L Von Duprin Lever Trims.

Used to shim out a Von Duprin 98/99 Series rim or mortise exit device, when a glass (or lite) kit would interfere with the device. These kits are typically used with full glass metal or wood doors.

The Electric Latch (EL) feature provides remote latch retraction ability to exit devices. A control station operator can flip a switch to retract the latch bolt and immediately change an exit door to push-pull operation. A powerful, continuous solenoid retracts the latch bolt, either for momentary unlatching, or for extended periods of time. The EL feature is an alternative to manual dogging. This feature is available for 98/99 and 33A/35A Series rim, mortise and vertical rod exit devices. EL devices are also useful with automatic door operators, and may be applied to fire-rated devices when under the control of an automatic fire alarm system.
